Case Study 03

Wind Study — AI Fashion Editorial

All three stills are AI-generated

A fashion consistency study focused on maintaining model identity, garment construction and material behavior across a coherent visual series.

Generated series → Garment consistency → Motion

Role
Concept, art direction, generation, motion direction, visual QA
Discipline
Generative image and video
Focus
Garment consistency, material behaviour
Output
Three editorial stills, one motion sequence
Generated editorial series

Three frames of the same look, from full body to fabric.

Generated portrait fashion still of the same model

Generated detail still of the garment construction

There is no photographed original here. All three frames are generated, which means the series has to build its own continuity.

Motion

Wind is the test, not the effect.

Process

  1. Define the garment in writing — cut, fastening, structure, material weight — before any generation.
  2. Generate the full-body frame first to fix silhouette and proportion.
  3. Build the portrait against it, holding identity at a much closer crop.
  4. Generate the detail frame last, matching construction to what the wider frames established.
  5. Select the strongest frame as the motion source based on garment clarity, not composition alone.
  6. Direct the motion around a single air source and review the fabric frame by frame.

Checked before the series was finalised

  • Identity drift between portrait and full-body frames
  • Garment construction changing between crops
  • Fastening position and type staying consistent
  • Shoulder structure holding at every distance
  • Fabric moving with believable weight
  • Hair and hem agreeing on wind direction
  • Hand and finger construction
  • Light quality consistent across the set
Outcome

A short editorial series that behaves like one shoot — same model, same garment, same air — and a motion piece that extends it without breaking the material logic the stills established.
